Who will get Cicero, who Murphy?

RIGA - For the second year there will be a "Cicero" and "Murphy" awards presentation ceremony in Latvia.

"Cicero" nominates and awards greatest achievements in politics and journalism, imposing advertizments and public relation campaigns, but for the biggest failure there is "Murphy" award.

Last year, when the competition took place for the first time, the "Cicerons" nomination for the most successful job in politics was given to former president of Latvia Guntis Ulmanis and Riga mayor Andris Berzins. In journalism the best was Regina Locmele.

But the "Murphy" award for a failure in public relation campaign was given to "Lattelekom".

Where the awards go this year will be announced in May, at the ceremony of nomination which will take place at press meeting house, Reiterna nams, Riga.

The jury will comprise well-known personalities including, Janis Sradins President of Academy of Science and Abrams Kleckins.
