Vilnius court ends war crimes trial

VILNIUS (BNS) - A Vilnius court officially ended Sept. 10 the trial of Aleksandras Lileikis, accused of turning over 75 Jews to Nazi death camps during World War II, due to the poor health of the accused.The trial was delayed in February, when Lileikis, 92, was diagnosed in four different medical examinations with multiple diseases. The court ruled that the trial will not restart unless Lileikis' health improves.
