Opposition starts signature campaign

RIGA (BNS) - A signature-collecting campaign aimed at killing amendment's to Latvia's pension law began Sept. 6.The Central Election Commission confirmed that so far no information has come in about any signature-collecting stations having failed to begin work on time. So far no violations at signature-collection places have been registered.Early reports, though, suggest the campaign may be in for some trouble.
