Y2K solved at Ignalina, state says

VILNIUS (BNS) - Lithuania's Ignalina nuclear plant has essentially solved any possible Y2K problem within its systems, the Lithuanian state Atomic Energy Safety Inspectorate reported.The inspectorate made the conclusion after analyzing the results of inspections and audits this year and after the nuclear plant and the Lietuvos Energija [Lithuanian Energy] company put software programs in place to guard against possible defects.According to the report by the inspectorate released Oct. 21, it has been determined that work of the electric grid of the Baltic states or its possible disruption "s...
