Prosecutors take last chance

VILNIUS (BNS) - The Lithuanian Court of Appeals is scheduled to assemble on Nov. 11 to discuss the appeal filed by the Prosecutor General's Office against the decision by a Vilnius court to suspend the genocide trial of sickly Aleksandras Lileikis.Deputy Prosecutor General Kazimieras Kovarskas said in the appeal that the Vilnius Area Court issued the ruling "without a thorough and impartial investigation of the trial's circumstances related with the state of health of the defendant."Kovarskas also calls for an additional, this time international, medical examination of the 92-year-old suspe...
