RIGA - The famous British vocal ensemble, The King's Singers, will be performing in all three Baltic states starting Jan. 28 in Tartu, and culminating in Vilnius on Feb. 2.
The six-man group takes its name from King's College Cambridge, and has been going since 1968, albeit with several changes in personnel over such a long period of time.

Using the variety in repertoire found in their student days which covered all kinds of music, from medieval plainsong to madrigals to pop, the King's Singers were to go on to build a very successful career.

But the group is still most renowned for its wonderful renditions of early music, despite its occasional forays into the world of pop, such as when it worked with Paul McCartney on his woeful "The Frog Chorus" song.

Early European music doesn't get performed too often in the Baltics, so this is a real opportunity to listen to some wonderfully beautiful music sung by a group of consummate professionals.

Look around and we bet you'll see Cosmos somewhere in the audience during the Riga show.
