VILNIUS (BNS) - The Lithuanian State Security Department received information Oct. 8 that two men had introduced themselves as security officials and checked the premises of the Restako company, saying that the office could be bugged.The company was once headed and co-owned by current Prime Minister Rolandas Paksas, but he gave up the post and transferred the ownership of shares to his wife after he was elected Vilnius mayor several years ago.Security officials arrested and interrogated the two men Oct. 8, police said.
