Finnish court convicts Estonian swindlers

HELSINKI (BNS) - A Helsinki district court handed down three-year prison sentences to two Russian-speaking Estonians convicted of fraud.The names of the men, aged 44 and 29, have not been disclosed to the press, but both were arrested last fall and accused of fraud in a bank card scheme in which they managed to withdraw 300,000 Finnish markkaa ($53,700) from nearly 70 private bank accounts, the Finnish STT news agency reported.The two men placed on an automatic cash dispenser in central Helsinki a special device that allowed them to copy the magnetic strips and codes of bank cards.
