RIGA - As the first few bars of Strauss' Beautiful Blue Danube filled the all-white ballroom in Rundale Castle July 8, Latvia's new and popular president, Vaira Vike-Freiberga, made her way to the floor to lead the waltz with her husband, Professor Imants Freibergs. The Freibergs' son, Karlis Freibergs, and daughter, Indra Freiberga, joined in the tribute to their mother's presidency.A guest and friend of the family, multimedia artist Laimons Juris G, said the goings-on in Catherine The Great's yellow vacation castle underscored the positive reception Latvians have extended to Vike-Freiberg...
