Having thrown out Victor Babariko and Valery Tsepkalo, two key rivals of the incumbent Belarusian president, Alexander Lukashenko, from the presidential race, official Minsk has been shaken up by protests, mostly of which were organized by the only remaining opposition candidate in the race, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, the wife of a prominent blogger Sergei Tikhanovsky who was also barred from the election.
