VILNIUS - Lithuanian citizens will be able to visit South Africa without a visa for up to 90 days, the Lithuanian Embassy in the country said on Wednesday.
According to the embassy, Lithuanians will no longer have to send documents to the South African Embassy in Stockholm or fill out an online application through the electronic visa system.
"The visa-free regime will open up new opportunities for our citizens to experience South Africa's culture and stunning nature, as well as to build business ties. We hope this step will help boost tourism and further strengthen economic cooperation," Lithuanian Ambassador to South Africa Rasa Jankauskaite said in a press release.
The embassy added that the decision reaffirms both countries' commitment to strengthening their partnership, fostering people-to-people connections, and expanding bilateral cooperation in various areas.
