VILNIUS – Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, accompanied by his spouse Diana, arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and discuss assistance to the country at war as well as the prospects for negotiations on Ukraine's EU membership.
While in Kyiv, the Lithuanian leader will also attend the summit of Ukraine's Crimea Platform, meet with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, and launch a Lithuania-Ukraine defense business forum, the presidential office reported on Wednesday.
First Lady Diana Nausediene will attend the fourth First Ladies and Gentlemen's Summit in Kyiv, hosted by the spouse of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. The theme of this year's summit is “A Protected Childhood – A Secure Future”.
The First Lady will also visit the Okhmatdyt specialized children's hospital in Kyiv, which was badly damaged during a massive Russian missile attack in July this year, and the Center for the Protection of Children's Rights.
