VILNIUS – Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis and his Ukrainian and Polish counterparts will open the 10th session of the tripartite parliamentary assembly in Ukraine on Friday.
This year, the session's participants will focus on expanding cooperation in the area of security and democracy, the Lithuanian Seimas' press service said.
Established in May, 2005 in the Ukrainian city of Lutsk, the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine will hold its session on Friday and Saturday in Kiev.
The assembly is an advisory inter-parliamentary institution established to discuss issues and projects of common interest. The three countries delegate around ten members of their parliaments to the assembly which hold its last session in Lithuania last year.
