VILNIUS - Lithuania's Foreign Ministry advises people not to travel to Pakistan and the Indian regions on the border with Pakistan in view of the ongoing military conflict and its possible further escalation and Pakistan's response following Indian shelling of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir and East Punjab on Wednesday, the ministry said on Thursday.
"If you plan to travel to India or Pakistan, or if you have flights scheduled through this region, please contact your airline in case of cancellations or delays. Follow official announcements and take care of your safety," the ministry said.
According to the Foreign Ministry, if consular assistance is needed in India, travelers should contact the Lithuanian Embassy in India. If assistance is needed in Pakistan, please contact the country's embassy in Turkey or any EU member state's mission in Pakistan.
