Lithuania's population dropped in 2015 at the fastest pace in the European Union, figures from the EU statistical office Eurostat indicate.
Lithuania's population was nearly 2.887 million at the beginning of this year, 32,700 fewer people compared with a year earlier. The population change per 1,000 residents was -11.3, the largest decline among EU member nations.
