Latvian fashion designers reveal their latest achievements

RIGA - The jubilee season of RIGA FASHION WEEK is approaching fast and for the 30th time it will bring together fashion and style professionals and supporters. At this celebration of fashion from 26 to 30 March the autumn-winter 2019/2020 collections of Latvian and foreign fashion designers will be presented. While preparing their collections for RIGA FASHION WEEK, the best Latvian fashion designers share their achievements and news.

This season, participants of RIGA FASHION WEEK who will showcase their new autumn-winter collections in fashion shows are such Latvian fashion brands as Natalia Jansone, One Wolf, NARCISS by Alise Trautmane, Katya Katya London, Amoralle, BLCV by Bulichev, Public Makes Image and Bergs Privé. After a longer absence from RIGA FASHION WEEK podium, designers Anna Led and Baiba Ladiga will have their comeback, while the fashion designer Iveta Vecmane will be participating for the first time. Presentations of the latest collections will be delivered by Noname Atelier, The Secret Garden and Ameri. Traditionally RIGA FASHION WEEK will also showcase kidswear fashion by Aristocrat Kids, Zaza Couture and Rock’n’Mouse.

One Wolf continues to actively participate in the “United Fashion” project, which took place during the RIGA FASHION WEEK last autumn, after which the brand participated in the Premium exhibition of this project in Berlin and will soon participate at Skopje Fashion Weekend.

Just over two years ago, Alise Trautmane, founder and designer of NARCISS, founded the “Dreams On Air” platform in New York, which now carries over 80 different designers, including NARCISS. “Dreams On Air” will soon open its doors in London's prestigious Mayfair Center.

Katya Katya London will be presenting its new collection at a wedding exhibition in London shortly before the upcoming RFW. In addition, in April, Katya Katya London team will be traveling to an exhibition in Milan and later on to the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week.

For the upcoming Fashion week Amoralle team for the first time has prepared a new line of outfits suited for casual wear.

Kidswear brand’s Aristocrat Kids spring-summer collection with a new stand design will soon be unveiled at Harrods in London. However, brands’ collections can also be purchased at other popular luxury shopping centers worldwide – TSUM in Moscow, Harvey Nichols in Doha, Isetan Shinjuku in Tokyo and others.

Bergs Privé has successfully opened its doors in a new location at 20 Elizabetes Str. - a building which once was also a home of the legendary Riga Models’ House. In addition, the collection that will be presented during the upcoming Riga Fashion Week is a first solo collection of the creative director of the department store Bergs – Ilze Priede-Klavina.

Natalia Jansone's brand is also undergoing a new development – the designer has created and will soon launch a new clothing line called "In The Black", which will be more suited for casual wear.

After a successfully participating twice in RIGA FASHION WEEK, this season Public Makes Image has debuted with its new collection at the fashion show “Emerging Talents” within the framework of the Milan Fashion Week, conquering the attention of leading worlds’ fashion professionals.

BLCV by Bulichev has also showcased its new collection in the recent Milan Fashion Week – in a showroom that will run until the end of March. In addition, brands’ garments can also be purchased at the prestigious GUM department store in Moscow.

Just before RFW BAIBA LADIGA's new collection will be showcased in showroom “Ambiance” within the framework of Tokyo Fashion Week. In addition, the designer Baiba Ladiga-Kobayashi besides the brand BAIBA LADIGA has created a new, more democratic fashion line called KOBAYASHI.

Brand Iveta Vecmane will be heading to Moscow right after taking part in RIGA FASHION WEEK, where the designer will participate in the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia within the framework of the Global Talent project. Soon she is also planning to launch an online store.

The brand ANNA LED whose designer is Anna Ledskalnina is also actively experimenting with various world markets by participating in international exhibitions. One of the most important ones was in 2018, where the brand presented its garments in Japan.

NONAME Atelier, the debutant of the last season of RIGA FASHION WEEK has recently opened its online store nonameatelier.com and together with other brands represented by boutique NONAME Place debuted also at the Milan Fashion Week.

Latvian brand Ameri will be participating for the first time at the upcoming RIGA FASHION WEEK, however they opened its salon shop in Riga, Bergs Bazaar and online shop already last year. Recently the brand started producing luxury knitwear from the best cashmere, cotton and linen yarns.

RIGA FASHION WEEK dedicated to the season of autumn-winter 2019-2020 will take place from 26 to 30 March.
