German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce to hold digital summit in Munich

RIGA - The German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce will hold a digital summit in Munich on October 7-8, according to the information published on the chamber's internet website.

The main topics of the summit are e-governance, e-health, smart cities, mobility and cyber security.

As the Economics Ministry reported, Economics Minister Janis Vitenbergs (National Alliance) also will participate in the summit.

The economics minister together with Bavarian State Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, Lithuanian Economics and Innovations Minister Ausrine Armonaite and Estonian Ambassador to Germany Alar Streimann will participate in a panel discussion "Baltic digital solutions meet Bavarian industry".

Vitenbergs said that Latvia was one of the first EU member states who started preparing for introduction of 5G technologies. "Our companies have high-class expertise in this field," the minister said.

Latvia in the summit will be represented by such companies as SWH Sets, Tilde, Squalio and Mobilly.
