European Parliament launches mobile app recording achievements of EU

RIGA - The European Parliament has launched a new mobile application, Citizens’ App, to help Europeans learn about the European Union’s (EU) achievements, LETA was told at the European Parliament Information Office in Latvia.

With the help of Citizens’ App, users can find information about various EU projects and their progress, as well as to share this information with others, representatives of the information office said.

With one eye on the upcoming European elections, the Citizens’ App enables everyone, everywhere to check the EU’s achievements, ongoing work, and future goals as well as explaining what the European Parliament’s does. It can find different initiatives of interest by topic and location and provides updates on their progress. It is searchable, shareable, can be personalized and is available in twenty-four languages.

It also allows easy access to data on the What Europe Does For Me website, designed to show the EU’s impact on citizens in local areas across the continent.

The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play.
