TALLINN – Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser is to meet with other European Union foreign ministers on Monday to discuss the issue of Ukraine, among other important topics.
Besides discussing the Ukraine issue, the Foreign Affairs Council configuration is to get an overview of the visit of EU high representative on foreign and security policy Federica Mogherini to Kiev, which took place of March 11 and 12. Before the meeting, an unofficial breakfast between the EU ministers and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin is to take place, spokespeople for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The EU ministers are to also discuss the situation in Syria, Iran and the Korean Peninsula. The unofficial guest of the ministers during lunch will be South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha.
Mikser is to meet with Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders on the same day. They will discuss bilateral countries, the security situation in Europe, topical EU issues and the Benelux-Baltic cooperation.
