Croatian defense minister to visit Lithuania

VILNIUS - Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Damir Krsticevic and Mirko Sundov, the Chief of General Staff of the country's Armed Forces, are coming to Lithuania on Thursday evening.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis will meet with Krsticevic on Friday to discuss the security situation in the Baltic Sea region and bilateral defense cooperation between the two countries.

After the meeting, the officials will go to Rukla to visit Croatian troops serving in NATO's multinational battalion stationed in the central Lithuanian town, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry said.

Around 180 Croatian troops are currently deployed in Lithuania.
