Center-right candidate for EU commission chief Weber visits Lithuania

VILNIUS - German politician Manfred Weber, the center-right's candidate to be the next European Commission president, is coming to Lithuania on Thursday.

Weber is scheduled to meet with President Dalia Grybauskaite, leaders of the conservative Homeland Union–Lithuanian Christian Democrats, and business and media representatives to discuss issues on the EU agenda. 

The European People's Party has nominated Weber as its candidate to head the new European Commission that will be formed after the May 23-26 elections.
