Border guard colonel's participation in EU mission in Georgia extended

RIGA - The government today extended a State Border Guard colonel's mandate in the European Union's (EU) mission in Georgia.  The government decided to extend Colonel Edmunds Luls' participation in the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia until July 15.  The Civilian Operations Commander of the European External Action Service has asked Latvia to extend Colonel Luls' participation in the EU mission until July 15 due to the Georgian government's decision on closure of the state borders, many European nations' decisions on cl...
