Baltic PMs to meet German Chancellor Scholz on Friday

RIGA - Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) will go to Tallinn tomorrow, where together with Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte, a meeting is planned with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the prime minister's press secretary Sandris Sabajevs informed LETA.

The heads of government of the Baltic states plan to discuss cooperation in the field of security and defense and preparations for the NATO Summit in Vilnius in July this year with the German chancellor. It is also planned to talk about support for Ukraine and holding Russia accountable for the crimes committed in Ukraine, as well as discuss current issues of the European Union's agenda.

After the meeting, a joint press conference is planned at 6:40 pm.
