Baltic foreign ministers to meet with U.S. national security advisor

TALLINN - The foreign ministers of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are to depart for a visit to the United States this week, and their visit will include a meeting with National Security Advisor John Bolton.

"Foreign Minister Sven Mikser and his Baltic colleagues are to meet with National Security Advisor John Bolton this week in Washington," a press officer for the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BNS on Monday.

"On Thursday the foreign minister will be in New York where he will take part in a public debate of the UN Security Council titled "Maintenance of international peace and security: Upholding international law within the context of the maintenance of international peace and security", which is to be headed by Polish President Andrzej Duda," the press officer added.

Bolton was named the National Security Advisor on April 9.
