TALLINN - Continuously demonstrating strong performance and setting new records, the Latvian airline Air Baltic achieved new October milestones in passenger numbers and load factor.

During the previous month, the airline carried 470,800 passengers across all its bases, marking an 11 percent increase from last year, with a load factor reaching 84.1 percent, up 5.7 percentage points year over year. These figures demonstrate the highest October traffic in the airline's history. Additionally, Air Baltic operated 4,160 flights from all its bases, a 2 percent increase compared to October 2023.

In addition, Air Baltic served 82,000 passengers in Estonia last month and operated 771 flights, which is a 17 percent increase in passengers and a 13 percent increase in flights compared to the same period last year. This marks the highest number of passengers in October in the airline's history in Estonia.

Martin Gauss, president and CEO of Air Baltic said that throughout the last months, the airline reported multiple records for monthly traffic figures, both in a single month and overall in Air Baltic’s history, highlighting its ongoing growth.

"Recently, we launched nine new routes for the upcoming winter season from all three Baltic states and established new codeshare partnerships with well-respected airlines. Through this approach, we aim to continue our growth story and provide the best global connectivity from the region to the rest of the world," he said.

This year, Air Baltic has served 744,000 passengers in Estonia and operated 7,000 flights.

Looking ahead to the upcoming summer season, the airline plans a significant expansion, adding 16 new destinations from the Baltic states -- four from Riga, five from Tallinn, and seven from Vilnius. These new routes provide customers with a wide range of travel options, catering to leisure, business, and onward connectivity needs.

Air Baltic operates more than 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline's route network in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
