Aerodium plans to open eight more wind tunnels this year

RIGA - Latvian vertical wind tunnel maker Aerodium Technologies (Aerodium) plans to open eight more wind tunnels this year, LETA was told at the company. 

The new win tunnels are scheduled to open in Ukraine, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, the US, South Korea, China and the United Arab Emirates. 

This Saturday, April 29, Aerodium will open a wind tunnel in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. The Ukrainian holders of the franchise have invested around EUR 5 million in the project. 

Aerodium is a Latvian company operating in the attractions' industry since 2005. The company has so far completed over 100 projects in 46 countries. Aerodium makes vertical wind tunnels for entertainment, show business and military needs.

Aerodium posted EUR 4.601 million turnover and a profit of EUR 568,408 for 2021, according to Firmas.lv. The company's financial results for 2022 have not been released yet. 

Aerodium Technologies, registered in 2012, belongs to Ivars Beitans (69 percent), Uldis Baumanis (21 percent) and Ingus Augstkalns (10 percent).
