Before entering politics, Indrek Saar, who graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Higher Drama (now, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre) in Tallinn, was for numerous years an actor and director of the Rakvere Theatre, and theater director and advisor at the NO99 theatre, where he was subsequently appointed chief executive officer.
