RIGA - So far, the State Security Service has not detected any messages justifying terrorism, calls to engage in violent activities, or expressions of support for terrorist groups in Latvia's Muslim community, the Security Service informed LETA.

The Security Service "continues to monitor the situation in Latvia's Muslim community" in accordance with its competences.

The Security Service draws attention to the fact that the level of the terrorist threat in Latvia is currently low and intelligence at the Security Service's disposal does not indicate that the situation is likely to change in the near future.

As reported, the Riga Municipal Police have started administrative offence proceedings over a mass Muslim prayer event that was recently held on a street in the Plavnieki neighborhood in Riga. Some social network users have expressed concern about radical Muslims entering Latvia.
