RIGA - The National Armed Forces of Latvia have reported two Russian naval vessels near Latvian waters.
The Russian naval corvette Boiky and Admiral Essen-class frigate were spotted approximately 12 nautical miles from Latvia’s territorial waters, within Latvia’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
In the month of July alone, there were 18 Russian warships and nine aircraft detected near Latvian borders.
