MOSCOW - Russia should not leave the Council of Europe, State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Leonid Slutsky said at a press conference at Parlamentskaya Gazeta on Wednesday.
"It is possible to slam the door and leave the Council of Europe. This kind of decisions is beyond our jurisdiction. But if the decision is made, I personally believe that it will play into the hands of George Soros and the like, those pathologically anti-Russian personalities," Slutsky said.
According to Slutsky, they want Russia to slam the door of all international organizations and go rogue.
"It will be very easy in this case to slander Russia and adopt any anti-Russian resolutions at those organizations," he said.
