RIGA - The Rimi Riga Marathon took place on Saturday without any serious incidents or surprises, marathon organizers told LETA.
The organizers stress that every responsible person is doing his/her job to ensure the successful process of the event. More information on incidents and overall statistics will be available later.
The Riga Municipal Police told LETA that no calls had been received about any public order violations during the marathon. The Emergency Medical Service also said that no serious incidents were recorded during the marathon.
As reported, 33,003 participants from 104 countries participated in this year's Riga Marathon in various distances.
