Rapper Offset, Nothing But Thieves and Benjamin Clementine also to perform at Positivus Festival

RIGA - Also performing at this year's Positivus Festvial will be the rapper Offset, the British rock band Nothing But Thieves, as well as pianist and musician Benjamin Clementine, LETA was told by festival spokeswoman Elva Lorence.

Continuing to attract hip-hop artists to the festival, Offset will perform in Riga for the first time. He started his music career in 2011 with Atlanta's Migos collective and recently released his second solo album Set It Off, which was streamed 60 million times in its first week of release. To promote the album, the rapper has embarked on a US and European tour, one of the stops of which will be the Positivus Festival.

British rock band Nothing But Thieves already played at Positivus in the early days of their career. The band formed in 2012 and has released three albums and several singles. The band's best known songs are Amsterdam, Soda, Is Everybody Going Crazy?, Overcome, Welcome to the DCC.

British musician Clementine started his musical career in 2008 in France, playing in bars and events. His first project Cornerstone in 2013 received acclaim from renowned musicians. His debut album At Least for Now won a Mercury Prize in 2015.

The festival will also feature a performance by multiple Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist Jacobs Colliers, who rose to fame with his trilogy of albums Djesse. Brooklyn indie rock band Sister Squares, who have teamed up with Arcade Fire's Will Butler, will also be among the festival's line-up. The band released their first collaborative project, Will Butler + Sister Squares, in 2023 to acclaim for songs such as Willows and Long Grass.

As reported, American singer Jason Derulo will also perform at the Positivus Festival, festival representatives previously told LETA.

This year's Positivus Festival will take place on July 19 and 20 in Lucavsala, Riga.
