Latvian BMX cyclist Maris Strombergs has scooped first place in major U.S. BMX tournament last weekend.
The two time Olympic gold medalist needed a fourth place finish in the final race at the U.S. BMX finals in Oklahoma. However, he finished first, taking the U.S. series overall championship series for the first time in his career.
Strombergs' closest opponent was Australian Sam Willoughby, LETA reports.
