A Latvian football club has released a special documentary charting its history and present day activities.

Riga United, formed in 2007, has more than 30 nationalities playing for the club's men's, women's and youth academy teams.

The documentary ‘R.U. Ready?’ charts the history of the club from its pre-foundation years, right up to the creation of the club's youth academy and first season in the national Latvian football league.

Video highlights include player pilot Robin Janssen landing an airBaltic plane just ahead of football training and a CNN Sports journalist signing for the club on the pitch at the San Siro Stadium in Italy.

It's hoped more international and domestic attention would be created by the movie whilst well as encouraging new players and supporters to join the club.

The film was produced and directed by filmmaker Stefanos Panagidis. For more information on Riga United Football Club visit here
