Latvia has recorded 'tropical' weather conditions this summer, weather experts say.
The air temperature in Riga and Ventspils remained above 20 degrees celsius during the night on July 7.
In Ventspils, the air temperature went down from 28 degrees at 9 pm to 20 degrees at 5 am. At 6 am., temperature in Ventspils reached 19 degrees celsius and rising.
In Riga, the air temperature was 28 degrees Celsius at 7 pm. At 5 and 6 a.m., the temperature dropped to 20 degrees Celsius, afterwards the temperature continued to grow.
Weather experts forecast hot weather conditions for July 8. The maximum temperature will be 27-32 degrees celsius. Air temperature on the left bank of the gulf will rise to 24 degrees celsius.
