On Aug. 29, the world famous French actors Fanny Ardant and Gerard Depardieu have scheduled a performance of "La Musica Deuxieme" at Riga Congress Center, reports LETA. Organizers from the "Baltic Pearl" Festival informed LETA that "La Musica Deuxieme" ("Second Music") is based on a play by Marguerite Duras. The performance will be in French with simultaneous translation into Latvian and Russian.

Duras once explained that this is a story about two people who "cannot live with or without each other." After a long separation, they return to the city where they were once happy in order to make a final decision.

Depardieu has been headline news of late, and not for accomplishments in the theater or cinema. Tax evasion in France, and Russian citizenship (granted in 2013 by Executive Order from President Vladimir Putin himself) have provided more fodder for his image as an "outlaw."
