On Thursday, an explosive was found in Vilnius Airport. It is believed to be an unexploded bomb from World War II, which has remained since the war in the territory of the airport.
The information about the detected explosive was confirmed by Greta Babarskaite, the spokesperson of Vilnius Airport.
According to Babarskaite, the explosive was found at a mining site, where the police were already working. Babarskaite also said that the finding had not created any operational difficulties at the airport or caused any inconveniences to passengers.
