The Reporters Without Borders press freedom index placed Estonia 11th in the world this year. This represents no change from its position last year, reports Public Broadcasting.

In 2013, Estonia was also in 11th position. But in 2011-2012, Estonia was in the 3rd place, reports LETA.

The top position in the list that contains 180 countries belongs to Finland, just like it did last year. It is followed by the Netherlands and Norway. Russia slipped 6 places to 148th.

Latvia has improved its position from 39 to 37, while Lithuania gained one place to 32nd on the index.
