Tonight (Jan. 3), the Quadrantid meteor shower will be visible in the night skies over Latvia, says the Latvian Astronomical Society, reports LETA. The Quadrantid meteor shower will peak tonight and up to 50 falling stars per hour will be visible in areas with clear night skies.
The Perseid meteor shower will offer a shooting star show on Aug. 12. Its intensity will reach up to 60 meteors per hour. The Geminid meteor shower, with counts of up to 90 meteors per hour, will be visible on Dec. 14.
