Construction firms hit with extra taxes

TALLINN - The Estonian Tax and Customs Board (TCB) levied an extra 3.6 million euros in taxes to 258 construction companies it inspected in the first half of this year, which was by 67 percent more than at the same time last year, reports Public Broadcasting.Explanations about labor taxes were asked from 3,276 persons working in the construction projects during 1,105 tax audits conducted in the first half of the year; TCB inspected 258 construction works.Inspection department head Kaido Lemendik said that inspections in the construction industry companies have been considerably i...
