VILNIUS - Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius says that he will not tolerate incitement of ethnic hatred referring to rally which is to be organized on Feb. 16 pledged by unrest in Kaunas.

"I can clearly say to everyone who seek or would like to provide isolation or exaggerated self-importance or even instigation of ethnic hatred during celebratory Day of Independence, we advise on behalf of the government not to do so. Those who are unwilling to understand the damage of various attempts to manipulate patriotism, instigating anti-Semitic or other ethnic hostility in Lithuania will be stopped. I can assure you," PM said today.

According to Butkevicius, the slogan Lithuania for Lithuanians shows disrespect to Lithuanian who are of different nationality.
