VILNIUS - Lithuanian Mayor Arturas Zuokas informed that he took the first step in setting up the Lithuanian air carrier; on Feb. 15, the respective task force approved the decision to establish the company named airLituanica, Diena.lt wrote on Wednesday [Feb. 16].
Zuokas' move has raised controversial comments.
Meanwhile, the Mayor believes that Lithuania needs the airline, and emphasized that each EU country has its own air carrier, informs LETA/ELTA.
