TALLINN -- Finnish grid operator Fingrid has announced final approval for an underwater energy cable connecting Finland and Estonia.
The 650-megawatt Estlink 2 cable is estimated to cost a total of 320 million euro.
Fingrid had been waiting to give the project the final go-ahead until EU funding was secured and the Estonian energy market began to show signs positive growth.
