Estonia to buy 80 APS

TALLINN -- The Estonian military has announced plans to purchase at least 80 armored personnel carriers from the Netherlands.

A defense ministry spokesman said the deal, which is due to be signed within the next few weeks, would be the "biggest armored vehicle deal ever made" by the country.

The vehicles wold be delivered sometime after 2011 and would be put into immediate use bolstering Estonian forces in Afghanistan.
