VILNIUS - The head of the social insurance fund has tendered his resignation following a public procurement scandal.
The chairman of the board of the State Social Insurance Fund, Mindaugas Mikaila,has refrained from commenting on his decision to step down from the post he has held since 2003.
The Fund has recently received criticism from the economy minister over the purchase of nearly 4 million litas worth of computer hardware.
