Soros asks EU to help Latvia

RIGA - On Saturday [Oct. 10] in aninterview to a Swedish radio station a contradictory judged Americanbillionaire George Soros has invited EU to provide more help to the seriously"injured" Latvian economy.

As suggested by Soros,the compulsion to lower the directional expanses is a wrong step, which needsto be fixed. He thinks that the countries of the European Union, which havefound themselves in a better situation, could be more involved in helping Latvia.

A billionaire wasalso puzzled by creditors making such high demands. In his opinion, a moreaccommodating attitude could help Latvia in such harsh times torevive the economy.

Along with that, Soros has pointed out the factthat he has no financial interests in this particular region.
