'The individuals were taken to the border crossing point and their departure
from the Republic of Estonia was
guaranteed,'' said Kaisa Pungas, the press representative for the Estonian
Border Guard.
One of the deported persons was a citizen of Latvia,
the other man a stateless person living in Latvia.
On July 26, the Estonian police detained five persons at Sinimaed in Ida-ViruCounty who demonstrated, dressed as
prisoners, against the convention of veterans of the Estonian weaponry grenadiers
division. The men are accused of disturbing public order and misdemeanor proceedings
are under way. One of the demonstrators was the leader of the ''Night Watch''
movement Maksim Reva.
