MISSING SOMETHING: For a romantic comedy, this film – though tasteful – has very little romance.

One of the most successful romantic comedies of the year is missing a few elements. First, there is no sex. Second, there is hardly any kissing, no nudity, and the couple is clearly not really in love until the very end.
In a style similar to that of “27 Dresses” – also directed by Anne Fletcher – “The Proposal” is a tasteful, light romantic comedy, which is what you would expect coming from Walt Disney Studios.
