TALLINN - “Honey includes more than 500 useful ingredients — it’s impossible to write it all in 600 words” says beekeeper Irene Mahlak. Honey can do a lot more than cure a sore throat. In a three-year clinical trial, doctors at Calabar, Nigeria, treated wounds with honey instead of medicines. The results were amazing: in 59 patients treated for wounds and external ulcers, honey was effective in all but one case.
