RIGA- The Latvian Customs Criminal Board have uncovered a hefty amount of smuggledcigarettes, the biggest amount found all year.
The illegal smokes were discovered in a Chinese footwear container receivedby a Latvian company.
As reported by LETA news agency, at the end of March customs officialsseized about 2.3 million illegal cigarettes with Russian excise duty stickerson them.
The total duty on these cigarettes would have been LVL 104,352. Noword yet on how much the most recent contraband was worth.
